Young Creatives Transforming Kisii's Entertainment Industry

Where the entertainment scene in Kisii was once dominated by live bands and church choirs, a younger generation of DJs, photographers, filmmakers and content creators is expanding what counts as Gusii entertainment.
Many are self-taught, building portfolios through weddings and small local events before picking up bigger corporate and county bookings. Several now shoot and edit their own promotional content — turning what used to require an outside agency into an in-house skill.
The Creative Arts category on the platform exists largely because of this shift — photographers, videographers and designers are now as bookable as musicians and MCs.
